Video Premiere: “Odd Job” by Gregory Uhlmann
If you’re in the mood for a perfect October song—one that encapsulates the romantic uncertainty of the autumn season—look no further than Chicago musician Gregory Uhlmann‘s “Odd Job.” Uhlmann pairs up with Cari Stevens to sing a haunting melody. The track comes from Uhlmann’s upcoming album, which is set for release in January 2017. We’re honored to premiere the song’s video, created by Maren Celest.
The video captures a day in the life of a purple-haired clown. We follow the faceless character as he awakens, dons his red-ball nose, and goes about his melancholy quotidian routine. It’s sweet, a little unsettling, and a total pleasure to watch.
Catch Uhlmann in Chicago this Wednesday at The Whistler, where he’ll perform with Celest.
